EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ men's tennis team opened NJAC play with a spotless shutout of Rutgers-Camden, not dropping so much as a single game in the team's first match of the spring on the outdoor courts of the TCNJ Tennis Complex.
The Scarlet Raptors brought just three players with them, and TCNJ (8-1, 1-0) made quick work of the short-handed visitors in bouncing back from its first loss of the spring against Haverford.
Justin Wain (No. 1),
Matthew Michibata (No. 2), and
Adrian Tsui (No. 3) all picked up straightforward 6-0, 6-0 victories in singles play.
In the lone doubles match, Wain and Michibata cruised to an 8-0 shutout.
The Lions take to the courts again on Sunday, when they welcome No. 29 Swarthmore to campus for a big showdown.
