GLASSBORO, N.J.- The TCNJ baseball team fell in game two of the home and home against Rowan University on Friday with a final score of 8-3.

TCNJ got things going early, putting up a run in the top of the first on three hits all with two outs. A
Chris Reeder double set up
Andrew Fernandez to pull a single down the left field line and score Reeder to grab an early lead.

In the Bottom of the second, Rowan came roaring back with four runs on four hits to take an early 4-1 lead.

The Lions cut the lead in half in the third on two hits. Those two hits came from
Ryan Goodall and
Justin Marcario. A wild pitch put them on second and third for
Andrew Fernandez to pick up his second RBI of the game with a sacrifice fly to left field.

While the profs went cold in the third and fourth, they picked up another two runs in the fifth on three hits to pull ahead 6-2. In the seventh, they tacked on two more to pull out to an 8-2 lead.

In the eighth, TCNJ showed some life scoring one run on one hit.
Zach Hochheiser drove in the third run on his second hit of the game, singling to score Goodall.

The Profs held out the Lions in the ninth to secure the 8-3 win.
Leading the Lions at the plate for the day was
Zach Hochheiser,
Justin Marcario and
Andrew Fernandez. Marcario and Hochheiser had a pair of hits each while Fernandez had a pair of RBIs.

Due to a weather postponement, TCNJ baseball resumes action on Sunday at home against Montclair State with the action starting at 11:30 AM.
