ALLENTOWN, PA. – The TCNJ Men's Soccer team fell on Wednesday night on the road at Muhlenberg University by a score of 1-0.
While the Lions (0-3) were outshot by the Mules (2-1) 18-3,
Julian Franco did everything he could to keep the game close with his eight saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lions spent the majority of the first half on defense, facing nine shots from the Mules and took none of their own.
- In the 26th minute, Muhlenberg struck first on a low crossing pass inside the box that was sent over the head of the TCNJ goalie into the back of the net.
- TCNJ found a trio of opportunities in the second half; one shot off goal, the second a shot from Colin Kenville that was barely stopped buy the diving Muhlenberg goalkeeper and the third shot too high.
- The Lions also spent the majority of the second half on defense, facing another nine shots from Muhlenberg.
NOTES:
- Julian Franco moved up on the all-time saves list with his eight tonight. This performance moves him up to ninth on the all-time list with a career total of 163 saves.
- Dante Bettino, Kenville and Massimo Rodio were the three Lions to take shots on Wednesday night.
