JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The No. 10 TCNJ women's soccer team improved its unbeaten streak to 15 games on the season and remained perfect in NJAC play after a 3-0 win at New Jersey City on Wednesday afternoon.
Victoria D'Imperio and
Jenny Ward led the Lions (13-0-2, 7-0) after each recorded a goal and assist in the latter portion of the first half.
Witht the win, TCNJ assured itself of a top-2 seed and a home semifinal game in the NJAC Tournament. The Lions are tied for first with Rowan, the team they'll face in next week's regular-season finale.
Alyssa Alfano got the ice-breaker in the 11th minute from
Abby Najdzinowicz after her shot found the lower left side of the back of the net. TCNJ scored a pair of goals about seven minutes apart with D'Imperio scoring in the 32nd minute and Ward in the 39th.
D'Imperio assisted on Ward's tally, while
Taylor Bielan and Ward earned helpers on D'Imperio's goal.
The Gothic Knights (5-4-6, 1-4-2) outshot TCNJ in the second half, 6-5, but
Ellen Williams made two of her three saves in the second to thwart any comeback hopes.

- The Lions' last four games have come by shutout victory with a 17-0 scoring advantage
