CORTLAND, N.Y.- The TCNJ wrestling team put on a show today at the Cortland Quad Meet, going a perfect three for three on the day. The Lions (11-4) are now winners of five in a row and beat their opponents by an average of 25 points in their matches on Saturday.
 
TCNJ first matched up with Delaware Valley, who they beat 35-6. They followed that up with a 33-point win against host Cortland and ended the day by defeating Oswego State 30-16.
 
Two Lions in Nick Sacco (165) and Mike Conklin (149) went 3-0 on the day. Sacco was dominant on Saturday, pinning all three of his opponents on the day. Conklin shared a similar dominance, pinning two opponents with another win by tech. fall.
 
Peter Wersinger (285) , Ryan Datz (157) and D.J. Henry (184) went 2-0 on Saturday, rounding out the Lions that went undefeated in multiple matches. After a 3-1 decision win against No. 11 Logan Davis, Wersinger pinned his next opponent to close out his day on a high note. Datz won his first match via decision and built off that, defeating his next opponent by major decision. Henry was electric in his two matches, pinning both his opponents, one of which only took 24 seconds.
 
James Romaine (174)  and Kyle Nase (133) each had a 2-1 record at Cortland, both falling to nationally ranked opponents. After a loss to No. 7 Jacob Blair, Nase rattled off two wins in a row, one decision and one major to end the day strong. Romaine won his first two bouts with emphasis, one major and one tech. fall before suffering a loss to No. 7 Charlie Grygas.
 
TCNJ wrestling is back home on February 9^th as they look for their sixth dual win in a row against No. 10 Stevens.
