EWING, N.J.- The No. 23 ranked TCNJ baseball team improved to 5-2 in NJAC play on Thursday afternoon with a 2-0 victory against Stockton. Jordan Gray and Joe Ferreri threw a combined shutout for the Lions (17-6, 5-2), holding the Ospreys (14-11, 5-2) to just six hits on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Following a scoreless first, the Lions got on the board in the second with a pair of runs on three hits.
o  Ryan Goodall led off the inning with a single to right before Jack O'Donnell drove him in on a double to left in the very next at-bat.
o  After Jack Haynes moved O'Donnell over on a grounder to second, Zach Hochheiser brought him home on a single up the middle, taking a 2-0 lead.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Gray was effective in his seven and two-thirds innings on the mound, with only three runners getting into scoring position.
o  He finished his day with two on and two outs in the seventh, handing the ball over to Ferreri to get the Lions out of the jam. A first pitch groundout to third closed out the eighth for the Ospreys.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Ferreri allowed one baserunner in the ninth before securing his second save of the season and the 2-0 win.
