Baseball Falls to Ramapo in Trenton Thunder Game

TRENTON, N.J. – The TCNJ baseball team came out on the short end of a pitcher's duel in its annual game at Trenton Thunder Park on Thursday as Ramapo scored three times in the seventh to turn a 1-0 game into a comfortable lead en route to a 5-1 victory.

  • Ramapo added one more in the ninth to make it 5-0
  • TCNJ finally got on the board with two outs in the bottom of the ninth as Mike LaGravenis sent a fly ball over the head of the right fielder to score Jack Haynes from first
  • Tyler Provost drew a walk to put two men on, but Chris Reeder's bid to keep the rally alive ended with a hard line drive to the second baseman
  • Ciani went 7.0 strong, allowing just two hits and two walks with five strikeouts
