Gray Dominates Rutgers-Camden in NJAC Showdown

EWING, N.J.- The TCNJ baseball team picked up a road win on Friday afternoon over Rutgers-Camden by a score of 4-2. Jordan Gray's dominant outing on the bump gave the Lions (14-4) their 14th win of the season over the Scarlet Raptors (15-6).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • It took a few innings for the Lions' bats to get going, but Gray did an amazing job holding down the fort as he didn't allow a hit until the bottom of the fifth.
  • TCNJ put up the first runs of the game for either team as they put up two in the top half of the fifth.
  • Rutgers-Camden answered in the bottom half of the fifth as they cut the lead in half on a single through the right side.
  • TCNJ added another pair of runs in the seventh to provide Gray with some insurance runs.
    • With runners on second and third with one out, Ryan Goodall smoked an RBI ground-rule double to score Fernandez and Chris Reeder.
  • Gray gave up one more in the ninth, but the Lions stuck with their guy and Gray closed out the 4-2 win.
