PITMAN, N.J. –  For the fourth time this season, TCNJ softball's Maya Knasiak has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference's Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the organization this afternoon.
 
Knasiak was the most impactful player on both sides of the field in a 4-0 week for the Lions, tossing two complete-game shutouts and adding a save in three appearances in the circle while slashing .500/.571/.917 at the plate. The junior tossed 11.2 scoreless innings across three games for TCNJ, fanning 20 batters while allowing just two combined hits in a pair of complete-game shutouts before adding her first save of the season in Game 2 against William Paterson, helping complete TCNJ's sweep of the Pioneers. Knasiak was equally impressive at the dish, going 6-12 with one home run, two doubles and a team-best seven RBIs.
 
The junior ranks among the best arms in Division III entering the back-half of the season, leading the nation in WHIP (0.48) and shutouts (9) while ranking second in hits allowed per seven (2.50), second in total strikeouts (110) and fourth in ERA (0.37).
 
For her efforts, Knasiak was also named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's (NFCA) Division III Pitcher of the Year Watchlist last week.
