EWING, N.J. - Five members of the TCNJ baseball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, as announced by the organization this afternoon.
Jack O'Donnell is now a three-time honoree while
Tyler Provost garners the distinction for the second time in his career, with
John DiCostanzo,
Jake Carter and
Jesse Beer rounding out the Lions' quintet with their first career honors.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

DiCostanzo makes his debut on the Academic All-District list following his final season with the Blue & Gold. A finance major with a 3.99 GPA, the senior posted a 5.40 ERA across 14 appearances and five starts, pacing the Lions' pitching staff with 50 innings pitched. DiCostanzo was at his best early on in NJAC play, tossing his first collegiate complete game in TCNJ's 4-1 win over Rutgers-Newark.

O'Donnell earns his third Academic All-District distinction after posting a 3.97 cumulative GPA as an accountancy major. The senior finished the season with a .387 on-base percentage – third among qualifying players on the team – pacing TCNJ in walks (26) and hit by pitch (15). O'Donnell added 29 hits and a team-leading 32 runs at the plate while spending time both in right field and at second base defensively.

A finance major with a 3.89 GPA, Provost makes his second straight Academic All-District appearance. The senior put up nearly identical numbers in back-to-back seasons for the Lions, slashing .267/.408/.444 with 36 hits, 28 RBIs and a team-leading six home runs in 2026. Also splitting time in both right field and at first base defensively, Provost posted a .978 fielding percentage with a career-best 165 putouts.

Carter finished his junior season with a 3.67 GPA as a finance major en route to his first Academic All-District nod. The Cranford native started all 39 games in center field, compiling 40 hits, 25 runs, eight doubles and a team-best 34 RBIs. Carter also paced TCNJ in stolen bases (12) while posting an unblemished fielding percentage on a career-high 108 chances.

Beer rounds out the Lions' honorees with his debut on the Academic All-District list. A finance major with a 3.55 ERA, the sophomore also earned an Honorable Mention All-NJAC nod after posting a 3-2 record with a team-best 3.05 ERA on the mound. Beer most notably tossed his first complete game in TCNJ's 6-1 win over NJCU, adding six hits and eight runs with a .360 on-base percentage at the plate.
