EWING, N.J. – TCNJ wrestling head coach Joe Galante has announced the hiring of Tanner Peake as his lead assistant coach for the upcoming season.
 
Peake, a native of Flemington and graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, makes his return to the Garden State after a standout career at Davidson College. Peake finished with a career record of 63-37 at the North Carolina school, where he was a three-year captain, two-time Southern Conference runner-up at 157 pounds, and a SoCon All-Freshman selection in 2023. He was also a Southern Scuffle place-winner and the first alternate for the NCAA Championships in 2024. A standout in the classroom, Peake earned three NWCA Scholar All-America honors during his career.
 
Peake competes internationally for the Puerto Rico National Team, earning a U20 Pan-American bronze medal and a silver medal at the UWW Grand Prix. He continues to train with his sights set on the 2028 Olympic Games.
 
"Tanner will be an excellent addition to our staff and team," Galante said. "He brings tremendous work ethic, a strong mindset, and organization to our program. He will be instrumental in recruiting and developing our student-athletes while training alongside them as he pursues his own Olympic goals."
 
Peake enjoyed a highly successful career at Hunterdon Central, where he was a three-year captain, two-time state place-winner, and three-time state qualifier. He was a regional champion, HWS Tri-County champion, and HCIWT champion in 2022.
