Tri-Captain
Selected to serve as one of the Lions' co-captains this season, Matt Luber is coming off a career-best season that saw him earn NSCAA All-Region First Team honors as a junior after leading the team with 25 points. A First-Team All-NJAC performer last year, he added six game winners and came through in the clutch down the stretch in TCNJ's post-season run.
Chosen the team's offensive MVP for the 2005 season, he was selected as the NJAC and the ECAC Offensive Player of the Week once during the year after  collecting the lone goal in the Lions' 1-0 win over No. 23 ranked Rutgers University-Camden to give TCNJ the 2005 NJAC Championship and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
Luber possesses the ability to find good spots and finish in strong in pressure situations. His ability to ignite the Lions on offense has helped set him apart from others and the Lions will look for him to continue his scoring knack again this fall. Luber brings 29 career points into the season on 11 goals and seven assists in 49 games played to date, while adding seven career game winning goals over the past three seasons.
A 2005-2006 NJAC Scholar-Athlete honoree on the Honorable Mention Team, Luber is also a TCNJ Scholar-Athlete as a criminal justice major at TCNJ and will be a candidate for the ESPN The Magazine CoSIDA Academic All-America Team this fall. He plans on attending law school following his graduation from the College.
He is a former team member of the 2003 U-19 New Jersey State Champions, Willingboro Strikers. Â
