A 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team honoree, Bill Kropp returns for a final season as a Lion. An accounting major at TCNJ, he is a three-time TCNJ Scholar-Athlete and enjoyed a career-best season with the Lions in 2007. A starter in 39 of 42 games played in 2007, he batted .269 with 24 RBI’s, while adding 10 doubles and a triple with three sacrifice flies and three sacrifice hits. In addition to his time as the Lions’ designated hitter, he also saw time at both first base and behind the plate and committed only one error in 221 total chances for a .995 fielding percentage.

Overall on his career, Kropp has now started 67 of 91 games played with a .293 career batting average. He has 20 doubles with two triples and 50 RBI’s, while scoring 52 runs in 270 at bats. He has a .991 career fielding average as well having committed only four errors in 454 total chances.

A 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 NJAC Scholar-Athlete honoree and a Dean’s List student, he attended Owen J. Roberts High School and is a former standout athlete having excelled in baseball and wrestling. He is the younger brother of another TCNJ baseball player, Rich Kropp, who played for the Lions from 2003-2006.
