Mike Oliver opened his Lion career earning Rookie Pitcher of the Week honors once in 2005 following a complete game four-hit shutout win as the Lions beat Haverford, 14-0. By season’s end, the newcomer had put together a 2-1 record with a 5.89 ERA in 18.1 innings of work with seven strikeouts.

He had an impressive sophomore season as the six-foot rightie went 6-1 in 11 starts and fanned 45 batters in 52.2 innings of work. He limited the opponents to a .275 average and had a 4.44 ERA on the 2006 season. Tapped as the NJAC’s and the ECAC’s Pitcher of the Week to open the year, Oliver went 2-0 with a 1.64 earned run average during the Lions' Spring Trip to Arizona. In TCNJ's 15-1 win over Roger Williams, he earned the victory after allowing just five hits and one earned run during five innings of work with striking out seven. In the Lions' 16-1 victory over St. Norbert, he surrendered just two hits and one earned run in six innings of work while striking out two. During a combined 11.0 innings pitched on the trip, Oliver held opposing hitters to a .179 batting average.

As a junior, Oliver was named to the 2007 Mid-Atlantic All-Region as well as the 2007 NJAC All-Star First Team. Oliver was also named to the 2007 NJCBA All-State Second Team. He finished his third campaign with a 5-0 record, including a 2.52 ERA with 52 strikeouts in 53.2 innings of work. He earned a complete game win and a shutout victory in his junior season as well.

He brings a 13-2 record into the 2008 season. He has a 3.83 career ERA in 124.2 innings of work with 104 strikeouts. After only three season, Oliver already ranks amongst TCNJ’s career leaders in several pitching categories as his 23 career starts is No. 11th best, and his 104 strikeouts is No. 19.
