A newcomer to the Lions’ lineup in 2007, Rich Gawlak follows in the footsteps on a the Lions’ only three-time All-American in baseball, Gerard Haran. As a back-up to the NJAC’s 2006 and 2007 NJAC Player of the Year, Gawlak played in 12 games in 2007 and batted .286 while committing no errors defensively in 20 total chances.

Gawlak came to TCNJ after playing for nearby Mercey County Community College, where he served as team captain for the Vikings. A former three-sport athlete at West Windsor-Plainsboro South, Gawlak helped lead the baseball team to the CVC Championship after a 22-7 record, while the 2002 team was also ranked 18th in the final AP state poll.
