A three-year letterwinner for the Lions, Dave Mebs is anxious for the 2008 season to start after a career-best season as a junior. 2007 saw him start 35 of 39 games played in with a .268 average at the plate. He added a career-high 37 hits with 21 RBI’s. Defensively, he committed only one error in 75 total
chances a year ago and has now played in 79 games with 45 starts.

A former three-sport athlete at Cinnaminson High School, Mebs earned nine varsity letters over his career after starring in football, baseball and winter track. Meb’s father, Dave starred for Wake Forest University’s football team and is a former team captain having played as a linebacker for the Demon Deacons from 1972-74, while his sister Caitlin is a current member of Rider University’s field hockey team.
