In his first campaign with the Lions, Vince Mazzaccaro saw limited action, appearing in 15 games with one start. He batted .357 in 2006 with three doubles and four RBI’s. He returned last season to start 12 of 31 games played in and batted .294 with 20 hits and was 3-3 on stolen bases.

A 2006-2007 TCNJ Scholar-Athlete honoree, Mazzaccaro also earned a spot on the 2006-2007 NJAC Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention squad after excelling in the classroom as a health and exercise science major at the College.

The 2008 season saw Mazzaccaro earn several post-season awards for his play. Among the honors he reeled in after batting .347 with 42 starts at third base, he was named to the Third Team ABCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team. This honor came on the heels of a selection to the 2008 NJCBA All-State First Team, the 2008 NJAC Honorable Mention Team. He finished the season second in RBI’s with 44, while also finishing second with 85 total bases. He also produced 15 extra-base hits, including five homeruns last season, while finishing with a .509 slugging percentage, while also collecting six sacrifice flies for a .473 on-base percentage. His 167 at-bats in 2008 also ranks 30th all-time for single-season performances at TCNJ.

He brings a .333 career batting average into the 2009 campaign having played in 88 games thus far with 55 starts and is closing in on his 100th career hit. He is a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School having earned First Team All-Parochial honors in 2005, while helping to lead the 2003 team to the Parochial B State Championship.

A health and exercise science major at TCNJ, he plans on pursuing a career as a physical therapist upon graduation from TCNJ. He is the son of John and Ronnie.
