Biography

Ryan Anzelone is coming off a strong campaign during his second year with the team. He split time at the designated hitter and will compete this year for a spot as the starter at first base as well as at the dh spot in the lineup. The 2008 season saw him bat .269 with 21 hits in 23 games played. He made 18 starts and with a .410 slugging percentage after adding five doubles and two homeruns last season.

As a freshman, he played for the Lions with his older brother, PJ Anzelone, marking the third time he has played with his older brother after accomplishing this in Little League, high school and at TCNJ.

He is a finance major at TCNJ and is both a TCNJ and NJAC Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll student. A team captain as a senior at Vernon Township High on the baseball, basketball, and football team, he earned all-league honors in both baseball and football. He was a National Honor Society student in high school and is the son of Peter and Valerie Anzelone.
