Biography

2016: Gearhart started 33 games for the Lions behind the dish in his junior season.  Gearhart registered 35 hits averaging a .280 clip adding 21 RBIs.  The Lions backstop ripped 8 doubles, 1 triple and launched his first career home run in a win vs. Babson College.  Base runners were no fan of Gearhart as he threw out 14:27 runners while also fielding .991.

2015: Gearhart appeared in 21 games, starting 17 as a catcher and designated hitter. … Batted .274 with 17 hits in 62 at bats. Drew 10 walks in 76 plate appearances and also dropped down four sacrifice bunts. … Enjoyed a 3-for-4 day in a win over NJCU, scoring three runs and knocking in three. … Went 3-for-8 with a double and a run scored, playing both ends of a double header at Kean University. … Hit safely in five straight games, four of which were conference match-ups. … Gearhart is a member of the Dean’s List, NJAC All-Academic Team, and TCNJ Scholar-Athlete.

2014: A back-up catcher during his rookie season, Gearhart appeared in three games for the Lions in 2014.  He earned his first collegiate start against Messiah College before recording his first career hit against Arcadia University. Gearhart followed his first hit with his second as he finished 2-for-3 in a 5-2 victory.
