Biography

2017: Started in 45 games at shortstop for the Lions and enjoyed a remarkable season.. Led the team in nearly every major offensive category including batting average at .358, RBIs with 39, runs scored with 42, hits with 62, and stolen bases with 21… In addition to his sensational offensive play, Shindler was reliable in the field as he made only seven errors in 205 chances and turned 25 double plays up the middle... For his outstanding efforts, he was named Mid Atlantic All-Region Second Team shortstop, Bill Dioguardi Co-Player of the Year, as well as New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team shortstop… Scored the game tying run in the ninth inning of the NJAC Championship victory against Ramapo College…All-NJAC Academic Honorable Mention…

2016: Shindler started all 44 games at shortstop for the Lions in 2016.  Hitting .333 was a constant threat for opposing pitchers.  Collecting 55 hits and driving in 31 runs.  An extra base hit machine, Shindler had 18 extra base hits including 6 triples and 3 long balls.  All of Shindler’s homeruns came in the post season launching a pair in the NJAC tournament against Montclair and Kean and the final coming in the Mid East Regional against the College of Wooster.  No one way player Shindler fielded .946 and was part of a double play tandem that was a fan of the twin killing turning 34 double plays.  Shindler was awarded with his stellar play with a spot on the All-Region 3rd team.

2015: Appeared in 12 games, starting nine for the Lions…Batted .281 with three doubles and six RBI. … Stroked a hit and drove in a run in his collegiate debut against Southern Maine. … Reached base four times with two hits and two walks against the College at Brockport. … Laced three singles and drove in two runs against Farmingdale State.
