A 1994 graduate of Trenton State College, Ed Yaris was an All-NJAC shortstop for the Lions during his collegiate career. He was a four-year starter for the Lions. As a rookie in 1991, he helped the Lions advance to the championship game of the College World Series as the Lions finished the year as the Division III national runner-up. That team was inducted into TCNJ's Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010.

Over the course of his career, Ed appeared in 154 games with 23 career sacrifices, which is second best in school history.

Ed has served as the infield coach for the Lions over the past 13 years. In 2003, TCNJ led the nation in double plays turned and finished the 2006 season ranked 15th in fielding and second with 1.24 double plays turned per game. The Lions turned better than one double play per game during the 2011 season.

Ed is employed by Florence High School, where he has spent the past 17 years teaching math. He is married to Kelly Yaris and resides in Moorestown with the couple’s son Ryan, who was born in 2002.
