Gawlak returns for his 11th season as an assistant coach with the Lions, specializing in coaching the catchers and hitters. He suited up and played for TCNJ in 2007 and 2008. Both of those teams advanced to play in the NCAA championships tournament.

A 2008 graduate, Gawlak was a 2008 ABCA-Rawlings Mid-Atlantic Region Gold Glove First Team recipient as a senior. He led the Lions with his 49 RBIs and shared the team-lead in doubles with 10. Gawlak batted .335 with 55 hits including three triples and a home run. He committed just four errors during the season for a .989 fielding percentage and threw out 16 runners on 51 stolen base attempts.

After graduating with a degree in Health and Exercise, Gawlak is now a physical education in the Middletown school district. He also works as an instructor and coach at Dave Gallagher's Baseball Academy.
