Biography

2018: D3Baseball.com Preseason All-American

2017: Put forth one of the best seasons on the mound in Lions history… Remarkably posted a 9-0 record without starting a single game, and tallied seven saves with an outstanding 0.82 ERA… Totaled 27 strikeouts and only walked three batters all season, and limited opponent to a miniscule .182 batting average against…Only surrendered one extra base hit, and never saw his ERA climb over 1.0 the entire season… Set the program record for lowest ERA…Curry received several accolades for his incredible season, including American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-American, ACBA Rawlings Mid Atlantic All Region First Team, D3Baseball.com Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team, NJAC Fireman of the Year, All NJAC First Team… Became the Lions first All-American along with teammate Joe Cirillo since 2009… The Lions racked up a 19-3 record in Curry’s 22 appearances… Became the all-time program leader in saves with 16, and was one win away from tying the program’s single season mark of 10… Earned a win in the first round in the NCAA Tournament as he threw a perfect ninth inning… His longest outing of the season came in the victory over Suffolk, as he pitched three shutout innings while striking out two en route to earning the win.

2016: Making the transition from starter to closer, Curry embraced and dominated at the roll.  Making 18 appearances and tossing 19.1innings Curry lead the Lions in appearances.  Registering 9 saves and collecting a pair of wins Curry was light outs for the Lions.  In conference Curry allowed only 1 earned run in 9 appearances which he recorded 4 saves.  Curry struck out 16 and only allowed 5 runs in 2016,  finishing the season with a 1.40 era.  In a back and forth contest against Franklin and Marshall, Curry came in and threw 2.2 innings, picking up the victory in an 11 inning affair.  

2015: Appeared in five games, starting four as a rookie pitcher. … Earned a spot in the rotation in the final month of the season. … Made his collegiate debut in a start against Keene State University. … Tossed three scoreless innings of relief against Kean University, striking out two. … Posted his best start against William Paterson University, surrendering two earned runs and striking out six in seven and two-thirds innings of work. … Went seven strong innings at Montclair State University, allowing three earned runs.
