2017… Saponara excelled in his junior campaign as he qualified and competed in the NCAA Division III Championships… Punched his ticket with a solid race in the Regionals as he ran a 25:01.4 to place 10^th out of 290 runners… The time of 25:01.4 was also a PR…Placed 6^th in the NJAC Championship with a time of 25:46.6… Was named First Team All-New Jersey Athletic Conference for his performance… Also set a PR in the 5k with a time of 15:45.0 at the Houghton Short Course Invitational.


2016.. Ran PR in the 8K at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships placing in the top 50 and helping the team to a 3^rd place finish. . . At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships he placed 11^th helping the Lions to win the NJAC Title for the 23^rd consecutive time. . . Saponara finished his season at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Kentucky and earned All-NJAC Second Team Honors.
