Ryan Hayward returns for a10th season on the Lions’ coaching staff after playing for four years in the goal for his alma mater. Hayward has been instrumental to TCNJ's soccer program, mentoring keeper including 2012 NJAC Goalkeeper of the Year Aaron Utman.
As a senior, he helped the Lions as a 21-game starter in 2000 and finished his career with a 1.14 career GAA in 4,011 minutes of service in net. As a senior, he was named to the 2000 NSCAA Adidas Metro Regional Team. In the classroom. Hayward graduated at the top of his class with a 3.7 GPA and earned a Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award in economics.
Hayward is currently operating Total Soccer, a soccer training company in the central New Jersey area, along with fellow TCNJ graduate and men's soccer player, Evren Asral. Recently, Hayward completed his U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) A License.
A 2001 graduate of TCNJ, Hayward will be responsible for the Lions’ goalkeepers and all other aspects of TCNJ’s men’s soccer program.
