A 16-game starter as a freshman, Matt Connor played is 18 of the Lions' 20 games as a newcomer in the midfield unit. Adding two assists, that year, he returned in 2003 to start all 18 games last year. He chipped in two goals and an assist last year and is among the field leaders Coach Nazario will look to this season.

Connor possesses a great work rate both on and off the field and tends to make those who play around him better.  While his numbers don't show up in the box score, his contributions on the field have been significant the past two years and the Lions are looking for him to continue that in 2004.

A health and education science major at TCNJ, he was named to TCNJ's Scholar-Athlete honor roll last year and plans to pursue a career as an athletic trainer. A National Honor Society student at DePaul Catholic High School, Connor is a former team captain.
