Hometown: Califon, N.J.
Dicheck took over The College of New Jersey’s men’s and women’s tennis program in the fall of 2000. During his tenure, he has posted a combined record of 582-188 and been named conference coach of the year a remarkable 18 times.
WOMEN
Dicheck has guided the program to the conference championship in each of his 24 seasons, going a remarkable 129-0 in NJAC matches.
His perfect record in New Jersey Athletic Conference play has added to TCNJ’s impressive winning streak against conference opponents to over 200 straight dating back to the 1982 season. The 41-year conference winning streak is the longest known active conference streak across all NCAA sports and divisions.
Dicheck has led the women's program to the NCAA Tournament in each of his first 24 seasons, and the Lions were also qualified for the canceled 2020 NCAA Tournament. TCNJ has won an NCAA Tournament match in each of the last 17 contested team championships.
The veteran coach picked up his 200th win on the women's side in the spring of 2015 against New York University. Entering this fall, he has a record of 302-76 on the women's side. He has also added 222 more wins on the men’s side, earning his 400th combined victory when the men's team defeated Muhlenberg College 9-0 in the spring of 2017. Between the men's and women's teams Dicheck has guided 30 individuals to All-America honors including Jackie Shtemberg, who was ITA National Champion in 2007.

*The TCNJ men's tennis team joined the WIAC before the 2023-24 season
A 1992 graduate of Moravian College, Dicheck was the No. 1 singles and doubles player for the Greyhounds his freshman and sophomore seasons. Tapped as team MVP one year, he started his coaching career by becoming a tennis professional at the Westend Racquet Club in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He held that position for nearly ten years after starting in December of 1990. A graduate of Voorhees High School, he was the top singles performer there as a junior and senior, and was also named team MVP twice.
Active in the local tennis community, Dicheck has been involved with the USTA Junior Development Program as an instructor and in 1989 served as an instructor at the Frank Brennan Tennis Academy, working with the Russian National Junior Team. He has also been actively involved with community service both as a charity tennis tournament organizer and participant. He was awarded the United States Tennis Association and Intercollegiate Tennis Association Middle States Campus Recreation Award in 2004. That same year, he was appointed to the Middle States College Committee and named to the USTA Advocacy Steering Committee. In addition to running TCNJ's club tennis team, Dicheck has also supervised the 2004-2006 teams that participated in the USA Team Tennis National Campus Championships.
Dicheck received his master’s degree in sports management at East Stroudsburg University in 2000.
