Victor Lai is coming off a strong junior campaign that saw him make improvements in his game. Over the course of the 2003-2004 season, he went 6-3 in singles play at No. 6 in dual match competition. Playing at first doubles with Bryan Hanley, the pair captured the first doubles crown at the Drew Invitational after a 3-0 performance. Overall on the season, the pair went 11-5 together with a 7-4 dual match record. He returns this year as the Lions' most experienced doubles player. Combined with his quick hands, Lai should be a force for the Lions this season. 

As a newcomer with the Lions, Lai saw limited singles action, collecting a 2-0 record in dual match play . He teamed with Bill Murtha at second doubles to go 4-9 in 2001–02. As a sophomore, Lai went 5-7 at No. 6 singles and teamed with Neeraj Pilly at second doubles to go 4-7 together.

On his career, Lai is now 16-21 in singles competition and stands at 22-32 in doubles play.
