BEFORE TCNJ: All-conference performer in both track and bowling at Nutley High School ... Bowling team won sectional titles in 2019 and 2020 ... Member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honors Society, and Tri M Music Honor Society ... Member of Marching Band, Jazz Band, Men's Choir, and Environmental Club

WHY TCNJ? I mostly chose to come to TCNJ for the reputation of the education department here and the connections I made early on with the music department faculty. On top of the academic benefits for myself, TCNJ provided me with the opportunity to continue Track and Field which was very important to me as I did not get a full senior athletic year due to Covid-19.

PERSONAL: Birthday is August 19 ... Parents are James and Nadene Mackiewicz ... Mother attended TCNJ ... Has a sister, Gabby ... Has a cousin who runs distance at Rutgers ... Biggest athletic thrill: "Going to 2023 Outdoor National Championships has been one of my favorite memories as an athlete. Although the outcome of that meet was not how I would have liked it to go, I believe that qualifying and competing there set my standards that much higher for my senior seasons. It also a great feeling to know that you are at the top level of your sport in any fashion and going to Nationals was simply a physical reminder of that feeling for me" ... Plays bassoon ... Likes oatmeal with berries, some eggs, and an energy drink before a meet ... Favorite athletes are Ryan Crouser and Kristjan Ceh
