Jess McGuire joined TCNJ as an assistant coach prior to the beginning of the 2020 season.
Before switching over to the coaching ranks, McGuire was a four-year standout for the Lions. She started in 159 career games and posted a .335 career batting average. McGuire was a power threat at the plate, and she hit 15 home runs with 98 RBIs. She served as the Lions' catcher in her final three seasons. She posted a perfect 1.000% fielding percentage in 2018. After a successful senior season, McGuire earned NFCA Second Team All-America honors. Along with her teammate Lauren Conroy, McGuire became the first All-American for TCNJ softball since 2000.
McGuire graduated from TCNJ with a degree in business management in 2019.
