A coach and trainer with two decades of experience, Stephanie Peters returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach during the summer of 2025.
Peters played in 65 games with 35 starts at TCNJÂ after transferring in from Bloomsburg University, notching 32 goals and 10 assists and helping to lead the Lions to the Final Four in 2003. A second team All-NJAC honoree in 2004, Peters still shares the program record for points in a single game (8) while ranking 14th all-time in goals and 17th in points despite playing only three seasons in Ewing.Â
A former professional, Peters was a midfielder for the Philadelphia Pirates of the Women's Professional Soccer League in 2005 and 2006.
Peters spent the 2024 campaign as an assistant at Muhlenberg and has also served as an assistant at a pair of Division I programs in Monmouth and Rutgers, where she worked as a film coordinator as a graduate assistant with the women's soccer program.
Peters has been a coach and trainer for 20 years and holds a U.S Soccer National C coaching license. She has worked with the New Jersey Olympic Developmental Program (ODP) since 2004 and has been a coach with the NJ-ODP Young Olympians Program since its inception, winning national championships in 2011 and 2012. Peters holds a US Soccer Federation National C coaching license. She is also a USSF Coach Educator, contributor to USYS University programming, and a Certified Rutgers SAFETY Clinician.

Peters graduated from TCNJ with dual degrees in education and psychology. She received a master's in educational statistics, measurement and evaluation from Rutgers in 2013 as well as a doctorate in higher education research assessment and evaluation at Seton Hall.Â
A Mercer County native, Peters played locally at Hopewell Valley Central High School.Â
