In his second season as a member of the Lions’ coaching staff, Mike Ehrenberg is no stranger to New Jersey tennis. A former star at Arthur L. Johnson High School, he was the program’s all-time victory leader until TCNJ All-American Mike Klimchak surpassed his 25-year old mark in 2003.

After graduation from high school, Ehrenberg played for Division I University of Delaware, where he starred for three seasons.

As a senior player, Ehrenberg was the top ranked player in the over 45 division of the NJ District in 2006 and 2007. He held a No. 4 ranking in the Middle States as well as a No. 57 national ranking in the USTA in 2007. This year marks the third year and that he was ranked 32 nationally in over 45 doubles.

He was also a member of the prestigious Atlantic Coast Cup Team in 2006 and 2008 that represents the Middle States in senior competition.

He remains the only player in Mercer County history to be a singles finalist in the Stone Age Open, Men’s 35, and Men’s 45 and over tournaments played at Mercer County Park. He is a two-time Mercer County doubles champion.

He resides in Hopewell Township, New Jersey with his wife, Ann Marie and daughter, Sarah.
