In his jumping and multi events, Kane has had:

  • 9th place finisher (Men’s Triple Jump)

  • 33 NJAC All-Conference selections
While his athletes earned those awards they also:
  • Broke 2 school records
  • Currently 23 of his athletes are ranked on the Top 5 All-Time performance list for TCNJ
Kane continues to grow the horizontal/vertical jumps and multi-events.  Over the past 3 years at TCNJ Coach Kane has developed a very competitive group of talented student-athletes that are currently challenging several school records in addition to qualifying for the NCAA National Championships.

Last year, under Kane’s tutelage, Andrew McNutt (JR) qualified for the Outdoor NCAA National Championship after just missing qualifying for the Indoor National Championships by 3cm.  McNutt jumped a PR of 14.57m to make the finals and finish 9th overall.  Along with McNutt, pole vaulter Tracy Prentice (SR) moved up to the number 2 All-Time performer in the pole vault with her mark of 3.35m, and just missed breaking the school record of 3.50m.

Prior to coming to TCNJ, Kane was the Head Winter and Spring Track and Field Coach at Cranford High School (Cranford, NJ) for 8 years (2005-2013).  During those 8 years at the helm in Cranford, Kane led his teams to 11 team championships from the conference, county and state level, including 2 State Sectional Championships, all of which were firsts in school history.

Kane was a 2002 graduate of TCNJ where he was a scoring member of 8 Indoor and Outdoor Men’s Track & Field NJAC Championships and an All-Conference pole vaulter.

Coach Kane is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach and USTFCCCA Coaching Certification in addition to holding his Pole Vault Coaching Certification.

Personally, Kane lives in Cranford New Jersey, with his wife Krystal and their two children Greyson and Haven.
