Bobby Jones joined new head coach Tyler Moody's staff as offensive coordinator in June of 2025.
Jones, who has spent time at all three NCAA divisions, returned to the Division III ranks after a year as head coach at Baltimore powerhouse Archbishop Curley High School.
"We're excited to have Coach Jones as our new Offensive Coordinator,” Moody said. “His passion for coaching driven student-athletes, championship background, and genuine understanding of the value of a TCNJ education will make him an invaluable addition to our team."
Jones led Archbishop Curley to the 2024 MIAA championship, the program’s first state title in 11 years, for which he was named Coach of the Year by the Maryland Football Foundation and Baltimore Touchdown Club. Jones was the sole recruiter for a program with 88 members, also serving as Academic Coordinator and Fundraising Coordinator in addition to operating as the team’s coordinator of offense, defense, and special teams.
Jones’ Division III resume includes stops at a pair of successful programs in his alma mater Washington and Lee as well as Springfield College. During his time at W&L (2018-23), Jones served as associate head coach and offensive coordinator, coaching the offensive line and tight ends for three years before overseeing the quarterbacks and wide receivers. Jones was the play caller in a shotgun spread choice scheme for the Generals, who won the ODAC title and played in the NCAA Tournament in 2021.
Jones coached the A backs as a graduate assistant at Springfield from 2015 to 2017, running practice, install, and film review for that position group in the program’s triple option scheme. In his third and final season, the Pride won the NEWMAC title and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Before his graduate assistantship at Springfield, Jones spent a year working in player development at Rutgers, where he helped coach the tight ends and offensive line and led film presentations to help determine potential scholarship recipients for the Scarlet Knights.
Jones was a four-year starter on the offensive line at W&L, where he was a three-time All-ODAC selection – including back-to-back first-team nods as a junior and senior – and helped pave the way for an offense that consistently ranked among the nation’s most prolific and led all of Division III in rushing yards in 2012.
Jones earned his bachelor’s in business from W&L in 2014 and a master’s in education from Springfield in 2017.
