Chris Reeder

Chris Reeder '24

Chris Reeder joined the TCNJ baseball staff as an assistant coach in 2025 following an illustrious playing career with the Lions from 2019-2024. He brings a combination of collegiate and professional playing experience and a deep passion for player development.

In his first year on staff Reeder was primarily in charge of TCNJ's catchers, assisted with pitchers and hitters, and served as the team's first base coach. With his help, the Lions produced four All-NJAC players, four D3baseball.com All-Region IV selections, three ABCA/Rawlings All-Region IV honorees and one D3baseball.com & ABCA/Rawlings All-American.

As a catcher at TCNJ, Reeder started 157 games behind the plate, racking up 962 putouts and a .988 fielding percentage. He finished ninth in program history in at-bats (610), 12th in doubles (37), 13th in RBIs (130), 18th in runs (137), and tied for 29th in hits (169). Overall, he batted .277 with 10 home runs and is the school's all-time leader in hit by pitch (52). A 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, Reeder was a part of two NJAC Champion teams in 2019 and 2023 and had his career capped off by joining elite company with a selection to the 2024 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Team, recognizing him as the top defensive catcher in Division III. 

Reeder has continued his baseball career at the professional level following graduation, playing for the Trenton Thunder in the MLB Draft League in 2024 before most recently playing with the New Jersey Jackals and the New York Boulders of the Frontier League.

Reeder earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Sciences with a second major in Psychology from The College of New Jersey in 2024.
