Jake Edinger was hired as Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations in May of 2025.
Edinger came to Ewing after a three-year stint as Assistant AD for Facilities and Event Management at Saint Joseph’s, where he oversaw event operations responsibilities for 19 varsity sports. At SJU, Edinger led day-to-day operations for the Hawks’ athletic facilities, including scheduling, maintenance, and event management while also planning and executing athletic competitions to ensure alignment with university standards and safety protocols.
Edinger also led successful bid submissions for NCAA championship events, securing hosting rights for a number of postseason tournaments, which included the 2024 A-10 Championship and the first round of the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship. Edinger and his staff also oversaw logistics for the 2025 NIT first round as well as the WBIT 1st and 2nd rounds in both 2024 and 2025, and coordinated a host of projects to upgrade and renovate SJU athletic facilities.
Before his time at Saint Joe’s, Edinger spent four years at Villanova, where he served as Coordinator of Athletic Facilities and Event Operations before being promoted to Director of Athletic Facilities and Event Operations in December of 2021. Edinger was the primary event manager for the Wildcats’ women’s basketball, women’s lacrosse, and men’s and women’s soccer programs.
Edinger helped to facilitate the opening of the newly renovated Finneran Pavilion in 2018, also establishing event operations guidelines for the updated facility. He founded and launched the inaugural Villanova Athletics Guest Services Staff program, handling recruitment, hiring, and staff training for the fledgling initiative.
Edinger got his start in collegiate athletics at Duke University, where he spent a year managing event operations for the field hockey, volleyball, and softball programs. He received his bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from Ramapo in 2013 before going on to earn a Master’s of Professional Studies in Sports Industry Management in 2016.
