Liz Madden joined the track and field coaching staff as throws coach prior to the 2024-25 campaign.
Madden came to TCNJ after five years at Rowan, where she served as throws coach and was named interim head coach for the women's team in 2023.
Madden was an NCAA qualifier and school-record holder in the weight throw at East Stroudsburg. She was a two-time PSAC champion and a four-year All-Conference performer, as well as a three-time USTFCCCA All-Atlantic Region Team three honoree.
Madden owns a sports performance facility for young athletes called Parisi South Jersey, where she works with athletes as young as six on their speed, agility and strength while also holding private volleyball and throws skill sessions. She is one of six Master coaches with the Parisi Speed School and travels around the country certifying new Parisi performance coaches.
Before her time at Rowan, Madden was a volunteer throws coach at Shawnee High School for six years and then at East Stroudsburg from 2014 to 2015, while serving as a graduate assistant in the athletic department.
Also a volleyball player at East Stroudsburg, Madden received her bachelor’s degree in biology/pre-physical therapy and earned a master’s degree in exercise science in 2015.
