Wimberly ran an automatic NCAA qualifying mark of 2:12.26 in the 800 meters in the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston Univeristy. She won her section of the race and placed ninth overall in the large field of 139 runners. She added a NCAA Provisional cut as part of the distance medley relay team that finished ninth with a time of 12:05.72.
