Gawlak was also named NJAC Player of the Week honors after hitting .471 (16-for-34) with three doubles, 17 RBI, and six runs scored during eight games of the Lions’ Spring Trip to Phoenix, AZ. He hit safely in seven-of-eight contests including a 4-for-5 performance with a double and two RBI in an 8-3 victory over No. 3 Cortland. He also knocked in at least one run in seven-of-eight games and produced four multiple-RBI games including a 2-for-5 performance with a double and five RBI in an 8-7 loss to Keene State. Gawlak, who did not commit an error in eight contests played on the trip, registered six multiple-hit games to help the Lions post a 6-2 record during the week.
