Clermont, FL…The College of New Jersey softball team was held in check on Sunday as the Lions dropped two games in Florida. TCNJ started the day falling to Emory University by the score of 5-0 before being doubled up by Moravian College, 4-2.

TCNJ returns to the diamond on Tuesday, March 10 taking on Penn State Behrend and SUNY Cortland.

The Lions plated their first win in the fourth inning as Cawley touched the plate on a single by sophomore Alex Sietsma (Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock).

TCNJ got its second run in the later in the game when Armstrong got aboard after getting hit by a pitch came around to score on a double by junior Rachel Greeby (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury).
