Box Score
Glassboro, NJ... TCNJ men's soccer played their third consecutive overtime game drawing a 1-1 tie with NJAC foe Rowan University.
After a scoreless first half, the Lions (3-2-3, 1-0-1) took a 1-0 when midfielder
Brian Galicia (Brick, NJ/Ocean Township) punched in his second goal of the year at the 64:08 mark. Just under five minutes later, the Profs (4-2-2, -0-1-1)tied the match when a shot from forward Julian Berrios deflected off a defender and into the upper left hand corner of the goal.
The scoring chances were plentiful as Rowan held a 25-17 advantage, but freshman goalkeeper
Adam Friedman (Chester, NJ/West Morris Mendham) was up to the task stopping nine shots. Friedman is now 1-0-1 in two starts this season. Charlie Cuncliffe had eight saves for the Profs.
The tie is the third different decision TCNJ has absorbed in its last three contests. They dropped a 2-1 match in overtime to Stevens Institute of Technology last week and came back to defeat Kean University 2-1 in double-overtime this past Saturday.
TCNJ returns home Saturday, September 26 for another NJAC battle against #10 Montclair State at 6 p.m at Lions' Stadium.
