Ewing, NJ ... The College of New Jersey men's soccer battled 19th ranked Muhlenberg College to a 2-2 tie on Wednesday night at Lions' Stadium.

Juniors Ray Nelan (Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) and Luigi Moriello (Ewing, NJ/Notre Dame) scored first half goals as the Lions (7-5-3) are now 5-0-2 in their last seven games. The Mules extended their program record to 14 games for the longest unbeaten streak to start a season.

The two periods in regulation could not have been played any differently. TCNJ came out and took it to Muhlenberg dominating the first half to take a two-goal lead. The Mules showed why they're unbeaten in the second half, playing with a sense of urgency and scoring a pair of goals to knot the game at two.

Both teams had opportunities in the overtime periods, but the score remained deadlocked.

TCNJ took a 1-0 lead 25:18 into the game when Nelan took a square pass from freshman midfielder Sean Casey (Toms River, NJ/Toms River South) at the top of the box. Nelan took a touch, and ripped a left-footed shot that found the top-left side of the net for his team-leading fifth goal of the season. Nelan has a goal in each of his last three games.

With six minutes remaining in the half, Vince McEnroe (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) drove a corner kick through traffic that found the foot of Moriello, and promptly knocked it between the posts for his fourth goal of the season.

Junior Cody Antonini (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) provided all the offense for Muhlenberg scoring both goals in the second half. Antonini cut the lead in half just over ten minutes into the second half when he broke loose down the left side and chipped a perfectly placed shot into the right pocket.

Just over ten minutes later, Antonini crashed the net on a Jacob Joseph (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) corner kick and headed in the tying goal just under the crossbar. Antonini has 15 goals this season and notched his fifth multi-goal game of 2010.

Lions goalkeeper Adam Friedman (Chester, NJ/West Morris Mendham) received a strong defensive effort from his backfield and needed just one save, while Mules keeper Jason Daniels (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central) stopped five shots.

The Lions return to New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Saturday, October 23 at 1 p.m. taking on New Jersey City University at TCNJ Soccer Complex. The Mules host Haverford College at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
