Glassboro, NJ... A disappointing performance by The College of New Jersey men's basketball team resulted in a third straight conference loss as the Lions (12-9, 4-6) dropped a 70-49 decision to Rowan University.

Jay Frank (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) lay-up with 13:34 remaining closed the deficit to 40-37. But Rowan (15-6, 6-4) outscored TCNJ 30-12 down the stretch as the Profs moved to the top of the South Division in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
The loss was costly as it drops TCNJ to fourth place in the South Division. The Lions fell a game behind Kean University, who moved to 5-5 in the conference following its 64-56 win at Rutgers University-Camden
Frank led the Lions in scoring with 12 points. Junior
Steve Siracusa (New Providence, NJ/New Providence) chipped in with nine points and nine rebounds, while sophomore
Al Matlock (Trenton, NJ/Solebury) added eight points. But it was not enough asTCNJ shot 31 percent overall and was 1-of-12 from behind the arc.
The Lions return home this Saturday in a match-up with Valley Forge Christian College at 1 p.m.
