Ewing, NJ... In an early-season match-up of ranked teams, The College of New Jersey used a second-half goal slip past Eastern University 1-0 on Sunday in the final day of TCNJ's adidas Classic.
In the opening game of the day, Husson University netted a 3-1 triumph over Centenary College.
The second-ranked Lions remained undefeated on the season with the win at 5-0, while the 24th-ranked Eagles dipped to 4-1. Husson improved to 3-2 with its victory, while Centenary fell to 2-4.

Sophomore Amy Van Dyk (Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo) scored the game's only goal with 25:43 remaining in regulation as TCNJ finished the tournament with their second win as many days. Van Dyk laced a rising shot from 25-yards out that went just under the cross bar for her first goal of the season.
Eastern made a push in the final five minutes keeping possession on TCNJ's half of the field, but the lone shot they got was off of the foot of Kelsey Doutrich (York Springs, PA/Bermudian Springs) and that was stopped by Lion keeper Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West).
Griffith finished with a season-high three saves as she posted her third shutout of the season.
As a team, TCNJ has not allowed a goal this season and have outscored the opposition 15-0.
Eastern goalie Alysia Goodman (Ephrata, PA/Ephrata) had a big game as she finished with 10 saves.
Husson University 3, Centenary College 1
Husson scored three unanswered goals to win its third game of the season downing Centenary College 3-1.
Centenary took a 1-0 lead when Jazmine Farrell (Newton, NJ/Bridewater-Raritan) won a loose ball and slotted a shot past the keeper 13:36 into the game. Husson responded at the 25:59 mark when Rebecca Jones (Topsham, ME/Mt. Ararat) stripped a defender, dribble around the goalkeeper, and knocked the ball between the posts to tie the game at one.
Less than 10 minutes later, Alexandra Laniewski (Scarborough, ME/Scarborough) settled a long cross from Megan Clement (Brunswick, ME/Brunswick) and chipped a perfectly-placed shot into the right-hand corner to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead.
Michelle Manning (Stratford, CT/Runnell) iced the game for Husson when took a short pass from Clement, moved around a defender, and fired a left-footed shot into the top right corner.
Rozyln Peterson (Fairfield, ME/Lawrence) earned her third win of the season stopping five shots. Ashley Denti (Sergentsville, NJ/Hunterdon Central) had six saves for Centenary.
