Box Score
Ewing, NJ…The College of New Jersey women's soccer team raced out to a three-goal lead in the first half and never looked back as the Lions posted a 5-1 victory over visiting Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday.

The win puts TCNJ at 8-1 overall and 3-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, while the Scarlet Raptors dropped to 2-7-1 overall and 0-3-1 in the conference.

The Lions gained control  in the opening half scoring the first three goals of the game with sophomore Korrie Harkins (Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) banging in a centering pass from Brenna Rubino (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern). That goal came 9:48 into the game.

Freshman Kendal Bernardini (Elmer, NJ/Schalick) accounted for the next two goals for TCNJ with the first coming on a feed from Shannon White (Fairfield, NJ/West Essex) and the latter from Katie Lindacher (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.). Those were her first goals in a Lion uniform.

The Scarlet Raptors cut that deficit to 3-1 with 13:42 left in the half as Rebecca Gougher (Galloway, NJ/Absegami) netted her first goal of the season with an assist from Camille Graham (Washington Twp., NJ/Washington Twp.) on a play that started on a corner kick.

TCNJ rounded out the scoring with a pair of second-half goals with Carly Setaro (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) and Allyson Anderson (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Pleasant) each finding the back of the net. Setaro's goal was the first of her collegiate career.

In goal for the Scarlet Raptors, junior Leighanna Milby (Blackwood, NJ/Highland Regional) finished with 11 saves, including several diving stops. She also made a nice save on a penalty kick midway through the second half sprawling to her left.

Both teams continue NJAC play this weekend as the Lions head to Rutgers-Newark to face the Scarlet Raiders at 7:30 p.m., while Rutgers-Camden returns home to take on Montclair State University at 2 p.m.
