Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey field hockey team remained undefeated as the Lions topped conference opponent William Paterson University 6-0 on Saturday.
  
 That victory moves TCNJ to 2-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and 8-0 overall, while the Pioneers fell to 2-9 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
  
 The third-ranked Lions got out of the gate quickly against the Pioneers scoring a pair of goals in the opening five minutes. Sophomore 
Erin Waller (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) laced a shot into the net from the top of the arc after taking a feed from 
Camille Passucci (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) on a penalty corner to get the scoring started. That goal came 2:44 into the contest.
  
 Senior 
Caitlyn Jenkins (Mickleton, NJ/Kingsway) doubled that advantage 1:43 later knocking in a pass from sophomore 
Erin Healy (Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Manasquan).
  
 Jenkins struck again late in the half, sending TCNJ into the break with a 3-0 cushion at the break with 
Christy Wham (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) setting up the goal with an assist.
  
 The Lions continued to add to its lead in the second half as 
Victoria Martin (Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) and Nealon scored 1:10 apart. 
  
 TCNJ capped the scoring with 10:29 remaining when Nealon again used her quick stick to change direction on a Waller offering on a penalty corner.
  
 Freshman 
Roisin Dougherty (Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) posted her third straight shutout for the Lions finishing with five saves, three of which came in first 1:33 of the game when the Pioneers came out with an early push. She did get a little help from sophomore 
Lauren Pigott (Jobstown, NJ/Northerrn Burlington), who had a defensive save.
  
 In goal for William Paterson, 
Kelllye Statz (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) made four saves and freshman 
Megan Davies (Havertown, PA/Havertown) had two.
  
 The Pioneers also received three defensive saves from 
Brianne Cox (Browns Mills, NJ/Pemberton Twp.) and another from 
Shannon Thomas (Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City).
  
 The Lions are right back on the field on Monday, October 1 with a rescheduled game at Kean University. That game is slated for 7:30 p.m.  The Pioneers remain on the road heading to Misericordia University on October 3 for a 6 p.m. start.
