Camden, NJ… The College of New Jersey women's soccer team got back on the winning track on Wednesday as the Lions traveled to Rutgers University-Camden and came away with a 5-0 victory over the Scarlet Raptors.

The 17
th-ranked Lions bumped their New Jersey Athletic Conference mark to 3-1, while improving to 9-1 overall. With the loss, Rutgers-Camden fell to 3-6-1 overall and 1-3 in the conference.

TCNJ scored the only goal of the first half with freshman
Christine Levering (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) getting on the board with 4:04 left in the period.

In the second half, sophomore
Shannon White (Fairfield, NJ/West Essex) scored unassisted 13:08 into the frame before Levering struck again to make it 3-0. Levering's goal came just 2:43 after White's tally.

The Lions tacked on two more goals in the final 10 minutes of the game with freshman
Chalen Noble (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) getting the first and junior
Gina Caprara (New Providence, NJ/New Providence) the other.

Senior keeper
Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) and junior
Cristina Gacos (Sea Girt, NJ/Wall) combined on the shutout. Griffith finished with three saves and Gacos had one.

The Lions return home on Saturday, October 5 when then they host Rutgers-Newark for a 1 p.m. start in TCNJ's Soccer Complex.
