The two wins put TCNJ at 12-4 on the season, while the Mules dipped to 10-4.

TCNJ continues its busy stretch at home, taking on DeSales University in a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 26.

The Lions struck first in the opening frame with senior Liz Huttner (Princeton Junction, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) drawing a lead-off walk and later scoring on a base hit by senior Kelly Hommen (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood).

TCNJ increased that lead to 3-0 with two runs in the third with senior Ashley Sogluizzo (Middletown, NJ/Middletown South) doubling in a run and Hommen dropped down a squeeze bunt for the other.

The Mules got those two runs back in the top of the fourth with a solo home run by Chelsea Benjamin (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) and then Kelly Kline (Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville Memorial) scored on a Lion error.

Two innings later the Lions rebuilt their lead scoring three times. Sogluizzo doubled and Hommen again delivered with a clutch hit making it a 4-2 game. Freshman Deanna Utter (Byram, NJ/Lenape Valley) tacked on two more runs drilling a two-run shot to left center for her second homer of the season.

Kline hit a solo home run in the sixth for the Mules and in the process became the program's all-time leader in runs batted in raising her total to 94.

TCNJ added a seventh run in the bottom part of the winning when Michelle Casale (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex) drove in Huttner with a double.

The Mules got closer in the seventh with a pair of runs, but TCNJ closed the win out with an unassisted double play by Sogluizzo.

TCNJ freshman Ashtin Helmer (Succasunna, NJ/Roxbury) ran her record to 5-0 as she struck out nine.

For Muhlenberg, Kelsey Jones (Magnolia, DE/Lexington) suffered her first loss of the season, falling to 6-1.
