Ewing, NJ... The College of New Jersey women's soccer team broke open a one-goal game in the second half scoring three times in less than four minutes to post a 4-0 shutout over visiting Farmingdale State College on Thursday.

The win put the 17
th-rankeed Lions at 9-2 on the season, while the Rams dipped to 8-4-2.

TCNJ got off to the great start with a pair of freshmen teaming up to put the hosts on the board.
Jessica Goldman (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) slid a nice pass to classmate
Elizabeth Thoresen (Colts Neck, NJ/Red Bank Catholic), who re-directed it into the back of the Ram net for a 1-0 lead just 1:25 into the game.

That score would carry through the rest of the half, but the hosts broke things open in the second half.

The goals that TCNJ scored in the second half came in a flurry as they all came within 3:56. The first came when sophomore
Christine Levering (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) tucked in a nice feed from to senior
Korrie Harkins (Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester Catholic). That goal came 12:53 into the second half.

The next two goals came 1:07 apart with Goldman cashing in on a short cross from Levering, while Thoresen deposited her second of the game cleaning up a rebound after Levering's shot rang off of the cross bar. The last of those goals came with 28:11 showing on the clock.

Lion keeper
Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) had a quiet night as she recorded her seventh shutout of the season without facing a shot.

Breanna Blair (Littleton, CO/High Point Regional) finished with five saves and teammate
Ashley Monzillo (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) had two.

The Lions jump back into New Jersey Athletic Conference play on Saturday, October 11 with a road contest at New Jersey City University. Game time against the Gothic Knights is 1 p.m.
