Ewing, NJ … The College of New Jersey men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Richard Stockton College in New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night in Lions Stadium.
 
With 35:30 remaining in the opening half, freshman Alex Kourahanis (Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek) sent a ground pass through the box that was knocked into the left corner by junior Ian Carmelia (Mt. Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley). That was all the scoring in the match.
 
Osprey goalie Bobby Varga (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) needed just three saves to notch his fifth win. Lions' sophomore goalkeeper Jake Nesteruk (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East) made six stops in the contest, all coming in the second half. Junior Ryan Sullivan (Bridgewater, NJ/Immaculata) booted a ball out that was destined for the back of the net with 9:56 remaining to keep it a one-goal game.
 
TCNJ continues NJAC play this Saturday when they visit Kean University for a Saturday match at 1 p.m. Richard Stockton hosts Montclair State University on Saturday at 3 p.m.
